On the last day of his Official Visit to the Republic of Korea, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the launching of Philippine products in the first ‘Philippine Food Promotion’ at the E-Mart Store, one of South Korea’s leading and biggest retail stores located in the capital city of Seoul.

E-Mart opened its stores to promoting and selling Philippine agri-products such as fresh bananas, mangoes and pineapples.  The program, which aims to increase trade and the sales of Philippine products in the South Korean market, is closely monitored by the Philippine Agriculture in Seoul.

In 2017, the Philippines exported a total of US$1.24 billion worth of tropical fruits to South Korea.
