Floridablanca, Pampanga
February 20, 2024
In fulfillment of its commitment to bring medical and government services closer to communities, especially to the indigenous peoples (IPs) and those residing in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs), the ‘Lab For All’ Caravan makes a stop for the first time at Barangay Nabuclod in Floridablanca, Pampanga on February 20, 2024.
Barangay Nabuclod is an upland area in the Province that is home to Aeta communities. Beginning February 17, pre-medical missions were already conducted in the village, of which 1,205 registered patients were lined up for consultation, 279 for laboratory tests, 80 for prescription eyeglasses, 55 for dental procedures and 150 for deworming.
The ‘Lab For All’ realizes the vision of a ‘Bagong Pilipinas’, serving as a testament to the solidifying partnership between the government and private sector in order to strengthen healthcare in the country and above all, promote the welfare of every Filipino.
Alongside other government agencies participating in the Caravan to give services, including skills demonstration, educational, medical, agricultural, social and monetary assistance, several private sector partners are actively engaging in this call. In Barangay Nabuclod alone, they conducted free eye and medical check-ups, distributed hygiene kits, vitamins, other necessities, an elf transport truck and a water tank.
