The Office of the President (OP) proudly celebrated and honored overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) by hosting Konsyerto sa Palasyo (KSP) 6: Para sa Ating mga OFWs at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang.

In a video message, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all Filipino migrant workers and dedicated the evening filled with music, dance and joy as a tribute to their sacrifices and dedication. He emphasized that OFWs continue to showcase the innate talent, resilience and diligence of the Filipino people to the world.

“Kayo ang patunay na ang mga Pilipino ay kayang-kayang makipagsabayan sa ibang lahi saan mang sulok ng mundo, dahil sa inyong disiplina, tapang, at malasakit sa bayan. Makakaasa kayo na laging nandito ang pamahalaan upang protektahan, alagaan, at itaguyod ang kapakanan ninyo at ng inyong mga pamilya,” he stated.

Tonight’s memorable concert featured exceptional Filipino talent, with performances by Rap Cañedo, Marielle Montellano, Chito Ricafrenz, Winchester Lopez, the KSP Band and dancers from Primedance Manila. A special appearance by Reuben Laurente, an OFW himself and a multi-awarded singer and artist, further highlighted the invaluable contributions of Filipino workers abroad.

The attendees, who included former and current OFWs and their families, expressed their deepest gratitude for the government’s initiative, emphasizing that the concert went beyond entertainment by affirming their recognition, unity and sense of belonging.

The event’s success was made possible through the support of Cabinet Secretaries and officials from key agencies such as the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
