President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. honored the centenary of former Senate President and now Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Secretary Juan Ponce Enrile at the Kalayaan Hall in Malacañan Palace on February 14, 2024.

The President delivered a heartfelt toast to honor the esteemed celebrant. The Secretary also reflected on a century of life, expressing profound wisdom and reiterating his commitment to serving the nation.

The event featured the unveiling of a centenarian stamp honoring Secretary Enrile’s long career in public service, where he has held many positions in government.

Katrina Ponce Enrile, his daughter, also delivered her message that set the stage for a crescendo of soulful tunes performed by Tiana Kocher, Secretary Enrile’s granddaughter. Timeless classics such as ‘In My Life’ and ‘Close to You’ were complemented by a touching video montage featuring memorable photos of the Secretary.

The celebration concluded with a photo opportunity that captured the special camaraderie and reverence shared among friends and family.
