President, Philippine Medical Association of Chicago
Chicago, Illinois
3 May 2015

Dr. Ramon Lopez moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1976 where he started his private practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-Gyn) for more than 30 years before retiring in 2010. His retirement drew the lament of his patients and colleagues who described him as “one of the select top few” in a community of about 300 physicians.

He is Board Certified, re-certified, and a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Congress in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Likewise, he had been a member of the Society of Reconstructive Pelvic Surgeons and the New York Academy of Science.

As president of the Philippine Medical Association of Chicago (PMAC), Dr. Lopez is involved in many charitable and socio-civic activities in the Philippines and in the United States. In January 2015, he headed a PMAC-sponsored medical mission composed of 23 personnel to Tacloban, Leyte and subsequently followed by a 153-person medical-dental-surgical mission to the communities of Calamba and Los Baños in Laguna province.
