“Ang isang bagong Pilipino for me is kayang, ‘yung may pag-asa na maayos din ‘yung kanilang mga pag-uugali, ‘yung pag-iisip, tungo sa ikabubuti ng ating bansa,” says Ms. Lilibeth Salomon, expressing her views on becoming a new Filipino under a ‘Bagong Pilipinas’.

Ms. Salomon is a registered nurse living in Australia for about eight years now. As a health care worker, she is part of the critical care and emergency department at the Canberra Hospital.

In an interview, she conveys her appreciation to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for all the efforts that the Administration is working hard for to realize its goals for the Philippines, as well as expresses optimism that the continued cooperation of the government and the Filipino people will bring about positive change for the country.

“Hindi kasi natin pwedeng iasa lang sa government, hindi natin pwedeng iasa lang sa Presidente, hindi kaya. So dapat magtulungan, dahil for me, kung may Bagong Pilipinas, dapat may bagong Pilipino, so unity, kailangan magtulungan,” she says.
