A Filipina advocate for persons with autism, Ms. Erlinda Uy Koe of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Autism Network (AAN), bags the inaugural ASEAN Prize 2018, besting 20 other finalists.
Ms. Koe, a former chairperson of AAN, is being recognized for her works in helping improve the lives of people with autism that exemplifies ASEAN’s goal of resilience and inclusiveness, people-oriented, and people-centered ASEAN Community.
The AAN is among the organizations that pushed for the ASEAN Autism Mapping Project to provide credible data and information on autism for policymakers within the ASEAN Member Countries.
