“From the perspective of the economy, I think this visit has been very productive,” Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual underscores, as he describes the productive meetings of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during his Working Visit to Berlin, Germany.
In an interview with RTVM, the Secretary considers the President’s visit as beneficial to the progress of the Philippines that can help many Filipinos in terms of economic gains. He emphasizes that the meetings of the President with the business community in Germany yielded many investments, especially for Filipinos, both working in the Philippines and abroad, for better employment and skills development opportunities.
“This brings opportunities, not just for investments that will lead into job creation and exports, but also in terms of capacity building and upskilling of our workers, as well as new ideas that we have discussed with leading companies,” he conveys, noting the fruitful discussions that the Chief Executive had with global companies planning to expand operations in the Philippines.
President Marcos Jr.’s visit to Germany has secured investment deals worth US$4 billion from eight (8) agreements.
