From the Batangas Port, President Benigno S. Aquino III continued his inspection of major passenger terminals in preparation for the Lenten season, one of which is the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City.

Together with Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya, Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Rogelio Singson, and some officials of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), President Aquino roamed around the airport to personally check the latest situation at the terminal in terms of facilities, passengers’ safety and airport security.

He passed by the X-ray machines, check-in counters, the newly-renovated airport lounges, and the pre-boarding area, where an estimate of 4,000 domestic and international passengers are waiting for their respective flights.
