“We are committed to building world-class infrastructure that could host the business in a high-growth area, that the government is ready to provide adequate infrastructure and facilities to ensure the growth of their investment,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed as he led the inspection of the Airport to New Clark City Access Road (ANAR) at the Sacobia Bridge located within the Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone (CFEZ), Pampanga.
The ANAR Project, connecting Clark International Airport to New Clark City, is a vital component in the government’s strategy to elevate Clark’s status on the global investment map.
President Marcos Jr. highlighted the ongoing modernization of the Clark International Airport and the construction of a rail link to Metro Manila as among the key initiatives aimed at enhancing connectivity and facilitating economic activities in the Region. He underscored Clark’s diverse potential not only as a hub for business and tourism, but also for sports.
Furthermore, the President stressed the importance of investing in human capital, alongside physical infrastructure, and the need to upskill the workforce to drive prosperity and sustain economic growth effectively.
With its strategic location in Pampanga — a Province rich in agriculture and culinary heritage — the Chief Executive believes Clark has all the components to become a magnet for tourists, investments, and marketable goods and services.
“This road is more than an access road. It is part of our plan to propel Clark as an alternate growth area. It is a red carpet rolled out to those who will partake in all the best things that Clark can offer,” he said.
Likewise, he commended the efforts of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) for overseeing the project and ensuring its timely completion. He lauded its professionalism and reliability in managing public-private partnerships (PPPs) and reiterated its crucial role in funding the modernization of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Concluding his message, President Marcos Jr. expressed gratitude to the engineers, architects, private partners, and all BCDA officials and personnel for their hard work and contribution to the ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ vision in transcending physical infrastructure to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, foresight and industry.
