Buguey, Cagayan
November 10, 2024
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inspected the Licerio Antiporda Sr. National High School to assess the damage caused by Typhoon ‘Marce’ during his visit to Buguey, Cagayan on November 10, 2024.
Buguey Mayor Licerio Antiporda III joined the President and provided an overview of the destruction and challenges in repairing school facilities needed by students and staff.
Typhoon ‘Marce’ exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) after hitting Cagayan twice, bringing strong winds and heavy rain that caused extensive damage across the Province.
It is now bracing for another storm as Tropical Storm ‘Nika’ places the Province under a Yellow Rainfall Warning and Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1. More rain and strong winds are expected, affecting communities still dealing with the impact of Typhoon ‘Marce.’
