President Benigno S. Aquino III commenced his one-day visit to Iloilo City by leading the inauguration and inspection of vital infrastructure projects in the city.
On board a pick-up vehicle, the President led the inaugural drive-through at the Jaro Bridge II in Brgy. Ungka which is one of the four bridges along the 14.18-kilometer Iloilo circumferential road.
President Aquino then led the unveiling of the marker together with Senate President Franklin Drilon, Public Works and Highways Sec. Rogelio Singson, Interior and Local Government Sec. Mar Roxas and other local officials. This also signified the ceremonial unveiling of the three other bridges that completed the 1.9 billion-peso project namely the Iloilo Bridge I, and Mandurriao Bridges I and II.
