President Benigno S. Aquino III led the unveiling of the marker of the Emergency Room (ER) Complex of Region I Medical Center (R1MC), a Department of Health (DOH) – accredited hospital in Dagupan City, Pangasinan.

President Aquino said that a P15 million budget was alloted for the rehabilitation of the ER Complex under the 2013 Health Facilities Enhancement Program of the government, while P50 million was used to fund the modern and state-of-the-art medical facility of the complex. Moreover, a budget amounting to P300 million will soon be awarded to R1MC which will be used for the construction of the main building of the medical center. Some 166 nurses will also be assigned in the center under the RN Heals Program.

R1MC ER Complex was rehabilitated and expanded to make it more spacious and organized, and in order to accomodate more patients not only in Pangasinan but in the provinces of Tarlac, Nueva Ecija and Zambales. It is upgraded with modern diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, complemented with trained and experienced staff.
