President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the groundbreaking and awarding ceremonies of the National Housing Authority’s (NHA) new housing projects in Bacoor, Cavite.

The groundbreaking signaled the start of the construction of two (2) 5-storey buildings for Ciudad Kaunlaran Phase II, while the awarding ceremony was intended for the 360 families who will be occupying six (6) buildings in Phase I. Both are located in Barangay Molino II, which form part of the relocation sites identified for informal settler families (ISFs) affected by the Supreme Court (SC) Mandamus to Clean-Up the Manila Bay Area.

He shared that in 2023, the NHA has built 80,000 housing units across the country, apart from its Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) that extended around PhP700 million to families affected by calamities.

As the NHA remains relentless in its “Building Better and More Housing” agenda to provide decent homes and create sustainable communities for the Filipinos, the Chief Executive urged the beneficiaries to take this opportunity to improve their lives and secure a better future for their families.
