President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the time capsule-laying during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Casa San Miguel at Barangay San Agustin in Concepcion, Tarlac.

Casa San Miguel is one of the housing programs of the National Housing Authority (NHA) for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel. The housing project, which covers more or less 15.87 hectares, is set to construct two-story 1,000 housing units, a multi-purpose covered court, and a three-story school building. It has an estimated project cost of PhP 950 million and PhP 5,700.00 estimated monthly amortization.

“Next year, tapos na ito lahat. Sinadya ko ito para meron kayong matirahan,” President Duterte said before the PNP and AFP personnel present in the event.

NHA General Manager Marcelino Escalada, Jr. assisted the President and briefed him on the housing project. Senator Joseph Victor Ejercito, Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Chair Eduardo Del Rosario, Tarlac Governor Susan Yap and Mayor Andres Lacson of Concepcion, Tarlac were among those who accompanied the President during the event.

Among the other housing projects were Madayaw Residences in Davao City, Scout Ranger Ville in San Miguel, Bulacan, Christine Villas in Lanao del Norte, Loakan Heights in Baguio City, Vista Alegre Homes in Negros Occidental, Cabaluay Place in Zamboanga City, Lantaw Homes in Davao City, Woodstowne in La Union, Ciudad de Dahican in Davao Oriental, and Adelaide Homes in Davao del Norte.
