June 28, 2017

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the groundbreaking of the new Presidential Security Group (PSG) hospital compound on the occasion of the 120th founding anniversary of the command at the Malacañan Park in Manila.

The President lowered the time capsule signifying the groundbreaking of the project. He was assisted by Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Paulyn Jean Ubial, PSG Group Commander BGen. Lope Dagoy, and other PSG officers and hospital personnel in the ceremony.

After the groundbreaking, he proceeded to the PSG grandstand for the program celebration where he presented the awards and plaques of recognition to the Best Personnel of PSG and the Friends of PSG in Manila.

In his message to the officers and troops, President Duterte recognized the PSG’s service and patriotism not only to him but more importantly, to the nation, saying, “Your life is not less important than mine… Your role is not less important than mine.”

He assured the PSG of his loyalty and utmost service to the nation while at the same time, reminded them to remain loyal to the country and the flag.

And in deference to the fallen soldiers in the ongoing Marawi crisis, President Duterte called on the PSG to observe a subdued and quiet celebration in their 120th founding anniversary.
