The Presidential Broadcast Staff – Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM) concludes its monthlong commemoration of the role of women in nation building, gender equality and women empowerment in the Philippines as its wraps up its celebration of the National Women’s Month on a high note on April 1, 2024.

Anchored on the theme, ‘Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan,’ RTVM held a series of activities and programs for its employees and personnel that focused on promoting awareness on the important contributions of women in realizing a more just and equitable country that caters to the needs of all Filipinos.

During its closing ceremony, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Franz Gerard R. Imperial, RTVM Officer-in-Charge (OIC) and Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) Chairperson, emphasizes the importance of participation and strong support from the men and women of RTVM in achieving the objectives of the annual celebration, noting that this is more than just a mere compliance but a collective commitment of the Agency in championing gender equality.

According to the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), this year’s celebration aims to showcase and harness the full potentials of women when it comes to actively engaging in and reaping the benefits of national growth and development. It also highlights the collaborative efforts between the government and the private sector in bridging gender gaps, advocating for social protection systems and enhancing access to public services for women.
