As the nation marked its 127th year of Independence and Nationhood, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Park Monument in the City of Manila.

The President was joined by the First Family, with First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos and their sons, Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Alexander ‘Sandro’ Marcos III and William Vincent Marcos, who actively participated in raising the Philippine Flag.

Ceremonies were also held simultaneously at several historic sites nationwide, including the Dambanang Emilio Aguinaldo in Cavite, Barasoain Church in Malolos City, Pinaglabanan Memorial Shrine in San Juan City, Mausoleo de los Veteranos de la Revolución in Manila North Cemetery, Andres Bonifacio National Monument in Caloocan City and the Museo ng Kasaysayang Panlipunan ng Pilipinas in Angeles City, Pampanga.

This year’s celebration carried the theme ‘Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.’ It brought together history, patriotism and culture in a unified tribute to the legacy of Filipino heroes while inspiring hope for a stronger and more united future.
