President Benigno S. Aquino III conferred the Order of Sikatuna with the rank of Datu to outgoing Ambassador Lee Hye Min of Korea in a farewell call in Malacanang.
The Korean Ambassador received the Grand Cross from the President as recognition for his exceptional and meritorious services as the Republic of Korea’s envoy to the Philippines, and for rendering distinct services in fostering, developing and strengthening the relations of the two countries.
Also present during the ceremonies were Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario and officials from the Korean embassy.
