President Rodrigo Roa Duterte received H.E. Roland Van Remoortele, Ambassador of Belgium to the Philippines, for a farewell call in Malacañan Palace.

He was first posted as Belgium’s envoy to the Philippines from November 1998 to September 2002. He then returned to Manila to assume the same position in September 2013.

Together with Ambassador Van Remoortele is his wife, Sylvia Tay-Van Remoortele, and Belgium’s Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission to the Philippines Xavier Leblanc.
