President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. received His Excellency Peter Kell, Ambassador of New Zealand to the Philippines, in a farewell call at the Study Room in Malacañan Palace.

As he bid farewell to the Philippines after completing his diplomatic posting of four (4) years, Ambassador Kell expressed his profound appreciation for the warmth of the Filipino people, the country’s beauty and its language.

He highlighted the enduring bond between New Zealand and the Philippines, further expressing optimism towards the continuation of the two nations’ robust relationship.

President Marcos Jr. commended the Ambassador for his service and recognition of the Filipinos’ kindness, assuring him that his contributions will be cherished and remembered by the Filipino people.

Ambassador Kell served as New Zealand’s envoy to the Philippines since 2020. Throughout his tenure, he managed and fortified bilateral relations between the two nations, encompassing political, economic and cultural spheres.
