President Rodrigo Roa Duterte conferred the Order of Sikatuna with the Rank of Datu (Grand Cross, Silver Distinction) to outgoing Indonesian Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Johny Lumintang, in a farewell call at Malacañan Palace.

Ambassador Lumintang, who served at his post for almost four years, received the distinction for “his active participation in the negotiation and conclusion of various agreements and joint declarations that further deepened the mutual trust and confidence between the Philippines and Indonesia.”

The Order of Sikatuna is an order of diplomatic merit of the Philippines conferred to diplomats, officials and nationals of foreign states who have rendered remarkable and outstanding services in fostering, developing and strengthening relations between their country and the Philippines.
