“Ikinalulugod kong makasama ang ating mga kababayan sa Bicol upang ipagkaloob nang personal ang mga titulo ng lupa at iba pang tulong para mapaunlad ang inyong pamumuhay at ang ekonomiya ng inyong rehiyon,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. remarked as he led the distribution of land titles, support services and Presidential assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and families in Pili, Camarines Sur.
In his speech, the Chief Executive expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the hardworking farmers who, despite their efforts, still struggle to meet the needs of their families. “’Wag kayong mahihiyang lumapit sa amin sa oras ng pangangailangan, lalung- lalo na kung ito ay makatutulong at makabubuti sa inyong kalagayan,” he conveyed.
He underscored that the farming equipment and financial assistance extended today form part of the Administration’s steadfast commitment to uplift their lives and of their families.
Apart from these, key infrastructure projects have been lined up for the Region designed to improve mobility and economic growth, including the Camarines Sur Expressway, Pasacao-Balatan Tourism Coastal Road and the New Naga Airport Development Project.
In response to the ongoing El Niño crisis affecting over 80,000 families in the Region, President Marcos Jr. likewise announced PhP60.28 million monetary aid from the Office of the President (OP) for the Provinces of Camarines Sur and Camarines Norte.
He called on all government agencies to continue providing essential services and support, particularly to those affected by natural disasters. All the same, he urged the public to actively participate and continue supporting government programs, utilize the assistance provided and embrace modern agricultural practices to improve their livelihoods.
“Umaasa akong patuloy tayong makapagbibigay ng lakas sa isa’t isa nang maisulong natin ang mas maunlad, maliwanag at masaganang bukas para sa bawat Pilipino,” President Marcos Jr. concluded in his message.
