During the distribution of land titles and Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROMs) in the Municipality of Alabel, the President underscored the importance of securing the growth and welfare of every farmer by ensuring land tenure security.
A total of 1,251 land titles covering a total land area of 2,174.52 hectares were distributed to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs). This also included the issuance of 1,248 electronic titles (e-titles) under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project. This initiative aims to empower rural communities in agriculture and sustainable land management.
Likewise, more than 13,000 COCROMs were awarded to ARBs from North Cotabato, Sarangani, South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat covering a total land area of 21,098.65 hectares amounting to PhP939,105,338. The COCROM is anchored on President Marcos Jr.’s directive to address the long-standing issues of ARBs’ indebtedness under Republic Act (R.A.) No. 11953 or the New Agrarian Reform Act.
