Kailangang magtulung-tulungan ang mga departamento,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. conveyed as he reiterated the Administration’s relentless commitment to address and expedite the rehabilitation of efforts in areas affected by the recent onslaught of Typhoon ‘Marce’ in the Ilocos Region.

In his remarks during the distribution of government assistance in the Municipality of Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, the President underscored the importance of conducting a whole-of-government approach in dealing with the problems caused by the recent calamity, emphasizing the need to address the immediate needs of those affected.

He also emphasized the crucial contributions of the private sector in the fast-tracking of relief efforts due to their outpouring of donations.

Kaya naman marami tayong pasasalamat sa kanila dahil marami talaga silang natutulungan,” he said.

President Marcos Jr. led the distribution of food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to affected families, cash assistance worth PhP50 million from the Office of the President (OP), sacks of rice from the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and rice seedlings from the Department of Agriculture (DA).

Likewise, he witnessed the distribution of cash assistance to the Municipalities of Ilocos Norte from the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program and the Office of Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Alexander ‘Sandro’ Marcos.
