Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan wraps up his productive two-day Official Visit to the Philippines that strengthened the relations between the country and Japan, as he departs from the Balagbag Ramp in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Pasay City on November 4, 2023.
He met with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in Malacañan Palace yesterday for a bilateral discussion with their respective delegations and witnessed the exchange of key agreements centered on the economic development, development cooperation and security cooperation.
Earlier this day, the Japanese leader addressed the Special Joint Session of the 19th Congress, visited the Metro Manila Subway Project in Valenzuela and met with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), concluding his official activities in the country.
The visit of Prime Minister Kishida highlights the commemoration of the 67th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Japan this year.
He is set to travel to Malaysia for the Japan-Malaysia Summit following this visit.
