NAIA Terminal II, Pasay City
21 October 2012

President Benigno S. Aquino III was accorded departure honors at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal II before boarding the Philippine Airlines chartered flight PR001 that will take him on a State Visit to New Zealand and Australia from 22-26 October 2012.In his message, the President said that the main objective of his visit is to further strengthen and move forward our country’s relations with New Zealand and Australia.
He added that his visit provides an excellent opportunity to promote trade, commerce and defense cooperation, noting that the Senate recently ratified the Status of the Visiting Forces Agreement between the Philippines and Australia.
Among the Cabinet members comprising the Philippine delegation are Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, Agriculture Secretary Proceso Alcala, Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and National Economic and Development Authority Secretary Arsenio Balisacan.
