President Benigno S. Aquino III, together with U.S. President Barack Obama, were in for a night filled with music and entertainment as the American President ended his first day of visit in the country by gracing the state dinner prepared for him in Malacañan Palace.
President Obama enjoyed a variety of performances presented by world-class Filipino artists including Apl de Ap, Kuh Ledesma, and Bituin Escalante, to name a few. Philippine culture and tradition were also showcased as the Bayanihan Philippine Dance Company and the Madrigal singers displayed the Filipino talent.
Likewise, the two leaders were able to savor a taste of Filipino cuisine as different dishes and desserts were served like kilawin, pochero, and coconut and lychee ice cream, a perfect way to ease their busy day.
