Malacañan Palace

President Benigno S. Aquino III received the administrator of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Helen Clark in a courtesy call at the Malacañan Palace.

Clark, a former Prime Minister of New Zealand, is in the country to aid in the recovery efforts of the areas affected by Typhoon Yolanda, as well as to focus on the Bangsamoro Peace Process. Her visit also aims to strengthen the partnership between UNDP and the Philippine government.

Her first visit in the country centered on the UN’s assistance for the development of the Philippines.
