President Benigno S. Aquino III received United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon in Malacañang.

The U.N. Secretary General is in the country to personally visit Typhoon Yolanda affected areas while assessing the relief efforts conducted by its agencies. The U.N. is one of the many organizations that sent an immediate and comprehensive humanitarian response to devastated areas in Eastern Visayas.

The visit of Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon symbolizes the continuing cooperation between the Philippine government and the U.N. particularly in the ongoing relief and rehabilitation stage of the affected areas.
