President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. warmly welcomed the Pacific Century Fellows (PCF) in a courtesy call at the President’s Hall in Malacañan Palace.

During their meeting, the President expressed his gratitude to the PCF for their visit, emphasizing the importance of exploring deeper engagement with the Philippines. He highlighted that the hearts of Filipinos are truly close to the people of Hawaii, which serves as a pathway to many other areas of cooperation.

For his part, Mr. Mofi Hanneman (President and Chief Executive Officer [CEO], Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association) conveyed his appreciation to President Marcos Jr. for the warm welcome, underscoring the need to reinforce their long-standing friendship and strong ties, especially in the tourism industry that has great potential for economic development.

The Pacific Century Fellows is a leadership development program that strives to unite Hawaii’s emerging leaders from diverse professions and backgrounds in an endeavor to find innovative solutions to the State’s main problems and concerns.
