President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with Seoul Mayor Park Won-Soon, Special Envoy to ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) of the Republic of Korea, in a courtesy call at the VIP Lounge of Davao International Airport.

The Seoul Mayor expressed his appreciation to the President for receiving him in the country.

President Duterte also conveyed his gratitude to the Korean Special Envoy and articulated his hopes to further continue the strengthening of bilateral ties between the Philippines and South Korea.

Mayor Park Won-Soon was accompanied by MP Kim Hyun-Mee and MP Shin Kyoung-Min from the National Assembly, Director Kim Chang-Soo from the Korea National Strategic Institute, Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Kim Jae-Shin, Seoul Metropolitan City International Relations Ambassador Kim Chang-Beom, and DG Ryu Jeong Hyun from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the other hand, President Duterte was joined by Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Allan Peter Cayetano, DFA Undersecretary Enrique Manalo, and National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana.
