President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. warmly welcomed Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development of Canada, in a courtesy call at the Study Room, Malacañan Palace on December 4, 2024.

Minister Ng is leading the Team Canada Trade Mission (TCTM) in the country from 4-6 December 2024, bringing around 300 representatives from 180 companies that are expected to usher in significant investments, foster new partnerships and business initiatives, and create numerous job opportunities for Filipinos.

During their discussion, President Marcos Jr. underscored the importance of engaging allied countries to position the Philippines as a leading investment hub.

For her part, the Canadian official affirmed her country’s strong confidence in its partnership with the Philippines.
