President Benigno S. Aquino III received the executives of Marubeni Corporation, one of the largest general trading companies in Japan, at the Malacañan Palace.

Marubeni Corporation has been operating in the Philippines for 104 years now since its operation in 1909. It aims to develop a full line of businesses and extend these globally to capture the world’s economic growth to maximize corporate values. The corporation is expanding its investments in power generation, industrial estate, and construction machinery.

President Aquino was accompanied by Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Gregory Domingo, Energy (DOE) Secretary Carlos Jericho Petilla and Transportation and Communications (DOTC) Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya.
