President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. warmly welcomed His Excellency Wang Yi, State Councilor and Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, in a courtesy call at the Music Room in Malacañan Palace.

Foreign Minister Wang was joined by Assistant Foreign Affairs Minister Wu Jianghao, Ambassador Huang Xilian of the People’s Republic of China to the Philippines and Director-General Liu Jinsong, Department of Asian Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the other hand, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Enrique Manalo, Special Assistant to the President Secretary Antonio Lagdameo Jr., Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Adelio Angelito Cruz, and other DFA officials accompanied President Marcos Jr. in the courtesy call.

Foreign Minister Wang arrived in the Philippines on July 5, 2022 upon the invitation of DFA Secretary Manalo.
