President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomed Her Excellency MaryKay Loss Carlson, Ambassador of the United States of America (U.S.A) to the Philippines, in a courtesy call in Malacañan Palace.

During their meeting, Ambassador Carlson expressed her deepest appreciation for the robust collaboration between the Philippines and the U.S. as allies. She also commended the Administration’s firm stance on upholding its sovereign rights in the West Philippine Sea.

In response, President Marcos Jr. highlighted the importance of open communication and the need to develop and strengthen collaboration in other areas to ease tensions over territorial disputes.

Meeting for the first time this year, the Ambassador also discussed with the President other areas of cooperation and collaboration that would further deepen the Philippine-U.S. alliance.
