President Benigno S. Aquino III met with AES Corporation President and CEO Andres Gluski in a courtesy call in Malacañang. AES is a global energy company, which operates on electricity generation and distribution.

Mr. Gluski, together with AES Vice President Scott Kicker, discussed with President Aquino the potential of the Philippines in energy generation especially on solar power.

Energy Secretary Carlos Jericho Petilla, Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima, Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario, and Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Cuisia Jr. accompanied the President.
