Newly-crowned Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago enjoined President Benigno S. Aquino III to pose for a “selfie” shot for the second time during a courtesy call at the Malacañan Palace. Their first selfie commenced in Tokyo, Japan when the beauty queen was still competing for the crown and the President was attending an ASEAN commemorative summit.

President Aquino proudly congratulated Bea Rose who was accompanied by Binibining Pilipinas Founder Stella Marquez Araneta and Ms. Cecile Marvilla.

The 2013 Miss International hails from Cataingan, a small town in Masbate which was also hit by typhoon Yolanda. She is scheduled to visit her province to thank her kababayans for their support and to distribute gifts in time for the Christmas season.

Ms. Santiago returned to the Philippines on December 21 and is expected to make her first official public appearance as Miss International in a homecoming parade on December 27.
