President Benigno S. Aquino III met with the Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne of the Liberal Party, during the Toronto trip as part of his State Visit to Canada.
Premier Wynne is Ontario’s 25th premier after being re-elected in 2014. She became the leader of the Ontario Liberal Party in January 2013.
Aside from being a Premier, she is currently serving as Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs.
Her past positions include being the Minister of the following: Agriculture and Food, Municipal Affairs and Housing, Aboriginal Affairs, Transportation, and Education.
