Recognizing the critical role of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) in protecting the country against external threats, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reaffirmed the Administration’s continuing support during his talk with the PAF Air Education and Training Command at Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, Batangas.

The Commander-in-Chief gave his assurance that the government will exert all efforts to provide the troops with the best possible equipment, training and facilities, particularly health facilities which will also benefit their families.

He stated that the government remains relentless in ensuring the continuous provision of this support so that the troops will continue to perform their duties well.

The President reminded them that their primordial mission is to protect the territorial integrity of the Philippines, safeguard its citizens and continue to defend the exercise of sovereign rights.

Nevertheless, he expressed confidence to the troops, especially the Air Education and Training Command, saying they are very well trained, well equipped and all very willing to continue their duty to protect the nation.

Following his talk to the troops, President Marcos Jr. received a ‘balispada’ (‘balisong na espada’) as a token of appreciation from the troops.
