President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. engaged in talks with National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue of Vietnam as he paid a call at the National Assembly Building in Hanoi.
The President expressed his appreciation for the mutual high-level engagements taking place between the two countries, saying that these are a testament to the mutual high regard of the two countries’ relations. He firmly believes that this is essential to maintain to further strengthen strategic partnership.
As both countries continue to face new challenges, the Chief Executive cited that a vast number of opportunities for cooperation are also presented, as evidenced by the growing parliamentary relations which is crucial in fostering dialogue and collaboration in both nations’ respective legislative policy decisions.
The National Assembly is the highest representation of the Vietnamese people and the top power authority of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The body has three (3) key functions: make laws; make decisions on important issues of the nation; and monitor at the supreme level all activities of the State.
