President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. convened with the members of the Japan-Philippines Parliamentary Friendship League (JPPFL) at the Okura Hotel in Tokyo, Japan.

In his remarks, President Marcos Jr. emphasized that the engagement with the JPPFL played a significant role in the continuing relations between the Philippines and Japan, as the latter remains as one of the country’s important bilateral partners, second largest source of investments, second biggest trading partner and top source of development assistance.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Japan states in its official website (tokyo.philembassy.net/) that the JPPFL is composed of parliamentarians who promote Japan’s relations with the Philippines at the National Diet (House of Parliament). The League is vital and instrumental in sustaining Japan’s development and technical assistance to the Philippines.
