President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with officers of the Davao Tourism Association (DATA) at the Music Room of Malacañan Palace.
DATA president Renato Gatchalian and seven other members, including its former president Margie Moran, are present during the courtesy call.
According to Gatchalian, President Duterte thanked the group for the visit and assured them that whatever help the government extends for Davao City, the organization would benefit from it, including the foreign aid for development programs from Japan.
The President also highlighted in the meeting the diplomatic cultural exchanges with China that DATA fully supports.
The Davao Tourism Association has 125 memberships from hotels, restaurants, travel agencies and academic institutions among others. It has commemorated more than four decades of dedicated service and valuable contributions to the Davao tourism industry.
