President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. met with the top executives of SHERA Public Company Ltd., headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ongek Taechamahaphant and Philippine Country Head Mr. Thunnop Jumpasri, in a business meeting at Latsavong Wanda Vista Hotel in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR).

During the meeting, the Company executives discussed their investment plan in the Philippines that involves the installation and operation of a fiber cement building materials plant inside TECO Industrial Park in Mabalacat City, Pampanga. With a project cost of PhP2.9 billion, the Philippine plant is expected to commence operations by the first quarter of 2025 and marks SHERA’s first overseas operations.

SHERA Public Company Ltd. is based in Thailand and has been established for over 50 years. It is one of the largest manufacturers of fiber cement boards, siding, roofing and concrete roof tiles in the world.
