President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to strengthening its healthcare sector during a meeting with NephroPlus officials at the Taj West End in Bengaluru, India.
The meeting aimed to strengthen and explore deeper collaboration in advancing universal healthcare in the country. It also reaffirmed both nations’ pursuit of expanding access to high-quality and patient-centered renal care.
According to Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, the meeting aligned with President Marcos Jr.’s directive to make healthcare accessible and affordable for all Filipinos. He also emphasized that this demonstrates the government’s efforts and initiatives to strengthen the nation’s healthcare system and meet the needs of underserved communities.
NephroPlus is considered Asia’s largest dialysis network operating in India, Nepal, the Philippines and Uzbekistan. With more than 400 clinics across the continent, it strives to provide affordable and high-quality dialysis treatments for people with kidney disease.
