Located in Kota Batu, the Maritime Museum is a ship-like building that shows Brunei’s maritime history. It highlights some 13,000 artifacts that were excavated from the shipwrecks discovered by divers in 1997.

The displayed artifacts are composed of ceramics and glassware from China, Vietnam, and Thailand that were believed to have been brought to Brunei in order to trade for local products such as spices, rattan, and other products of value.
