Tibagan Elementary School
June 9, 2025
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. inspected the ongoing classroom repairs at Tibagan Elementary School and witnessed various activities during the opening of Brigada Eskwela 2025 in San Miguel, Bulacan.
In his brief remarks, the President emphasized the government’s continued efforts to ease the workload of teachers, particularly in reducing their administrative responsibilities. He added that support for educators goes beyond financial assistance — it includes ongoing training programs designed to strengthen and enhance their teaching skills.
He further expressed his heartfelt appreciation for teachers, calling them modern-day heroes who do more than teach — they help prepare young Filipinos for the careers and challenges they will face in the future.
During the program, President Marcos Jr. and Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Juan Edgardo ‘Sonny’ Angara witnessed an orientation session for selected students using Khan Academy, an online learning platform aimed at equipping students with 21st-century skills.
Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda also presented the newly installed Starlink internet service which will provide the school with faster and more reliable internet access.
The Chief Executive likewise met with 200 newly hired public school teachers from the Province of Bulacan, signaling the continued investment in the education workforce.
As part of the five (5)-day program of Brigada Eskwela, over 565 school bags filled with essential school supplies will be distributed to the students of Tibagan Elementary School on the first day of classes on June 16, 2025.
