President Benigno S. Aquino III met with PNP Regional Director Chief Superintendent Henry Losañes and OIC-TCPO PSupt. Norberto Tuazon in a closed-door meeting at the PNP Office in Tacloban City.

Following the daily Task Force meeting headed by Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, the security cluster reports centered on the retrieval of 153 inmates that had escaped when Typhoon Yolanda struck.

Initial reports on widespread looting incidents in Tacloban city have also ceased soon after police forces became visible in the city proper.
