White Cross, San Juan City
September 13, 2022

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. spent a meaningful birthday afternoon with the children of White Cross as he visited the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Centers and Residential Care Facilities in San Juan City.

In his message, the President expressed his joy as he celebrates his natal day with the children, saying that his parents, the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos and former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos, taught him that after taking care of the main population, he must go back and share the blessings to those who have been left behind or the ‘disenfranchised’ in society, referring to children, the elderly and those who are sick.

He conveyed his deepest gratitude to the White Cross Board and all the DSWD social workers for their untiring devotion to duty and care for children who have been abandoned, abused, exploited and orphaned, and have found a second home in the DSWD Centers and Residential Care Facilities throughout the country.

During the program, a birthday cake was gifted to the President while the White Cross children offered a birthday song to the guest of honor.
