President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the 33rd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore.

Both countries continue to deepen bilateral relations as it pursues further cooperation in maritime security, defense, tourism, and cultural ties.

Currently, there are about 180,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) residing in Singapore, majority of whom are in the professional fields occupying high positions.
